CA Inter Preparation Strategy

Hello!

Below is my detailed CA Inter Strategy. I cleared in my first attempt with an aggregate of 550 marks out of 800, with exemption in 7 subjects out of 8 (November 2020, Covid attempt). Hope you find it useful.

Preparation Time: 8 months 1 day

Detailed Strategy:

1. Coaching Recommendations:

    A. My Classes: Cost & FM Namit Arora sir, Law Munish Bhandari Sir, Tax  Vijender Aggarwal sir.

    B. Recommendation: You can go for Harsh Gupta sir as well for Law & for EIS-SM,  Amit Tated sir, for Audit: Neeraj Arora sir or Siddharth Agarwal sir, for tax: Bhanwar Borana sir & Raj kumar sir as well

2. Syllabus Completion: Broad strategy was to complete the syllabus till August 2020 mid & to start revision (even if I have not completed the syllabus by that time). Per day average 3 to 4 lectures at least along with their homework and picking up self study subjects as well.

3. Revision: I never focused on number of times of revision. Instead focused on revising the content again & again where I am lacking.

4. Other tips: I solved as many MCQs as I could. I used to spend time on every MCQ. I revised complete topic or portion from where the MCQ is picked. ICAI MCQs should be done first. Also, I used to spend an hour every day to discuss topics with my friend, & use to deliberate on random questions from random topics, making own mnemonics & tricks, teaching each other to check our conceptual clarity, discussing logics, interviews, insights etc.

5. What better you can do: Start revising when your 50% portion is done. Don't wait for syllabus completion. In fact, it is even doubtful that your syllabus will ever get completed. I didn't even touched Economics for Finance, when exams were just half a month ahead. For EIS-SM, I left most of the chapters.

The key is, when you start feeling that your plans are falling apart because of any reason, time to play smart comes, when you start looking for shortcuts. Shortcuts are never a substitute for hard work, but they surely can be saviour when you are dedicated enough.
